Hello,

My name is Chris Urquiaga and my stage name is JChris. I’m a millennial, gay, urban, Latinx artist from NYC. I am releasing two music videos this spring/summer that are centered around a LGBTQ+/Latinx narrative.

I am interested in sharing my videos with you all as I am inspired by the work you all do. I was wondering if you all could share the videos on your social media pages or wherever you think is fitting. The Oportunidad music video stars Yurel Echezarreta from the West Side Story (2021) movie. I’d be interested in getting involved with you all at any rate. In a genre that typically promotes the machista narrative, I thought it was important to share my content with like-minded individuals who have the same vision to dismantle that. You can check out my music through the links below. Looking forward to hearing from you!

My name is Julia Colin and I am a Psychiatric Social Work Intern at Garfield High School in East Los Angeles. The school’s mental health team is planning a health fair on April 20, 2022.

We will be inviting many community health agencies, especially mental health, to table. We will have booths for activities, like making stress balls, painting, etc. We have 2400 students. This will be an opportunity to encourage students to engage with community members, build positive connections, and engage in conversation regarding overall mental health. This has been a difficult few years for everyone, and our mental health team is working hard at keeping students engaged. We believe having Latino Equality Alliance can be a great opportunity to show students about the services you have to offer, as well as, teach them about how positive ways to cope with stress. With Latino Equality Alliance’s help we know will make a positive impact with our GHS students attending the fair.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Hello,

My name is Jasmine Carlos and I am currently pursuing a Masters in Clinical Psychology. I am enrolled at Pepperdine University and I am participating in Pepperdine’s Aliento program which is a program with a special focus on serving and working with the LatinX population.

As part of our coursework this semester, we need to complete 15 hours of service to the LatinX community. I have a very special interest in working with your organization as it provides support and serves the lgbtq+ community. I wanted to see if there were any opportunities for me to volunteer this semester. I am happy to help in any capacity. Please let me know if this would be a possibility.

Dear Latino Equity Alliance,

My name is Elizabeth Barron and I am currently producing a production titled, ON HER SHOULDERS, directed and written by Patrice Amon in partnership with TuYo Theatre. ON HER SHOULDERS is a multi-sensory, immersive experience that brings audiences into a forgotten memory using the power of names to understand the role of Latinas in World War II. This 40 minute theatrical experience takes small groups of between 1 and 4 people through seven staged rooms to experience a performance focused on hidden community stories. Audience members collect mementos of their experience along the way and interact in tactile activities to deepen their experience and understanding of this piece. We wanted to reach out and offer free tickets for our dress rehearsal and preview performances happening on the following dates:

• Feb. 6 from 12-4pm

• Feb. 8 from 6-10pm

• Feb. 9 from 6-10pm

• Feb. 10 from 6-8pm

You may reserve your free tickets by clicking the following link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/on-her-shoulders-tickets-229596789177.

Please do share this offer with your community, as we would love to have you join us for this special event. Attached is the flier and a link to our website. We would greatly appreciate it if you could help us spread the word!

My name is Haley Patterson and I am a doctoral candidate in Spanish Linguistics at the University of Houston. I am currently conducting a study about language change and am trying to recruit as many participants as possible to best represent our country’s diverse community of Spanish-speakers. Participation takes the form of a survey via email, and an optional brief Zoom interview. I am reaching out to community organizations to help me spread the word and find participants. Would you be kind enough to help me do that? I would love to share flyers with you in Spanish and English. Please email me back at [email protected] for more information. Thank you very much.

EEG software and equipment in criminal hands is a international threat to security here is why

The City of San Diego is not obligated or dedicated and fit to perform their duties as law enforcement and government affairs duties. 9 months of public corruption and personal information is still being exposed to public .

San Diego’s lack of responsibility shows that the City of San Diego Government and law enforcement agencies can not perform there duties to prevent domestic terrorism and electronic harassment and illegal activities there vanity is more important then principal and as we speak of principal we speak upon civil liberties and restitution and capitalism crimes are commuting everywhere and privacy act of violation of the constitution of California is not how civil liberties is performed. Rest to sure that San Diego is not fit for their place in performing those duties here’s why and act fast with reprimand-able regulations

Biggest invasion of privacy lawsuit

Hello, my name is Ernest Ortiz. I am a Sociology major at Cal State University -Long Beach. I am conducting a study that aims to illuminate the barriers and other difficult experiences marginalized transwomen face in California. I would also investigate how they navigated those barriers and experiences, and how it played out in their lives. The goal for this research is to contribute to a general body of knowledge, and hopefully empower the trans community and give a voice to more of their women. While this study will ask broadly about family relationships, education, employment, and encounters with the criminal justice system and violence, of particular interest is transwomen’s experiences accessing gender affirming health care. For participants, I will be looking for marginalized transwomen in California. What classifies as marginalized in this study are transwomen of color, transwomen who self-identify as low-income or both. All applicants must be 18 and over. I am looking for people willing to do a 45–90-minute interview over zoom. I will be compensating all participants with a $15 Amazon gift card for their time.

If you are interested in participating in this study, or need more information, feel free to email me @ [email protected]

JUSTICE FOR HAITI,

It is with this word that we will file a complaint before the International Court of Justice, the highest international tribunal in the world over the assassination of the Haitian head of state on July 7, 2021. https://www.icj-cij.org/en For proper investigation and trial of all accomplices we will be put under arrest the President’s Cabinet and the Presidential Security. We are putting under arrest the leaders of the government opposition and all its acolytes, and we demand the removal of the immunity of all foreign presidents and diplomats involved in this conspiracy to be on trial before the Supreme Court International of Justice. The world knows we are the children of 1804, they are jealous and want to eliminate the nation, they have violated national sovereignty many times, and this time they go too far, so now we revolt. Remember that Unity allowed Haiti to be freed from slavery, unfortunately divisions led to the assassination of the country’s heads of state, so let’s be aware today, let’s unite once again to get Justice for Haiti in the International Supreme Court who can resolve the president’s death case and make all other countries involved in this serious crime against Haiti pay for what they have done and make sure to indemnify Haiti for this damage, and then we can draw an example to the world and make sure this disrespected fool act never happened again.

Join this movement and invite others. JUSTICE FOR HAITI!

To whom it may concern,

My name is Beatriz Noriega, I work for Focus Latino, a Marketing Research Firm specializing in the Hispanic market. Over the years we have conducted many Healthcare projects with patients, caregivers & doctors including several for Hemophilia, Hunter Syndrome, HIV, Alzheimer’s, among others. Please visit: www.focuslatino.com for more information.

Now we have a project on Lupus and we know the Hispanic community is at a disadvantage for several reasons: distrust, language barriers, legal status, lack of health insurance, lack of information, lack of awareness, cultural issues, etc.

Our project on Lupus consists of two Webinars with people from the Los Angeles region and we are looking for your help to promote these among your constituents – Lupus patients and caregivers. We know that you can’t give us any private information but you can advertise this to the people that belong to your chapter so that they can register for the webinars. If you are willing to help we will send you a promotional leaflet with the registration information.

The two Los Angeles Latino Lupus Webinars are planned for November 9 & 16 at 7pm PT and will be conducted in Spanish. They will be conducted on Zoom, so participants will need either a Computer, Tablet or Smartphone with a good internet connection. Each webinar should last about 60 minutes.

- Webinar #1) How Lupus disproportionately affects Latinos and building a sustainable support system for your mind & body

- Webinar #2) What Clinical Trials are and the need for Latino Patient representation being critical for the development of safe & effective new Lupus treatments

This is is purely an Educational webinar and there is no commitment required of any kind. Any help you can give us in spreading the word about the webinars so we can get as many people as possible (patients & caregivers) to register will be greatly appreciated; and please let me know how many you think might be interested.

If you or anyone needs more information you can contact me or my partner Guy Antonioli at our emails or by calling our office at (512) 306-7393 during office hours 9am – 5pm CT.

Many Thanks & Best, Beatriz
